Stargazer Lily
The Stargazer lily is a known oriental lily hybrid that has a distinct fragrant smell and striking red, white and pink petals. This cultivar was first introduced in late 1970's by Leslie Woodriff, a lily breeder from California. The flower is named so due to its position while blooming which is directly facing the sky. This lily variety is easy to grow since it doesn't have specific seasons for cultivation and once harvested could last from seven to fourteen days.
Similar to all lilies flowers, stargazer lily is traditionally considered as the symbol of innocence and purity. Because of this, the stargazer is the most preferred flower to be used during religious feasts. But, it has also taken other meanings due to its unique colors such as sympathy, purity, aspiration and hope among others. Because of its associated significance, the stargazer has since been used for bridal bouquets, meaningful keepsake as well as token of apology.
Flowers have the ability to make people feel good, that's why many of us love them. They assist us in celebrating the most memorable events in our lives and they make it simpler for us to reconnect with the people we are fond of. To simply put it, flowers could speak volumes of things that not even words could say. These are the reasons why many people give flowers as tokens regardless if they are in the form of calla lilies, roses, allium and others.
Flowers, like people, have different personalities, shapes, and styles. They also have a language that is definitely all their own. There are many ways how you could display and enjoy them; the only thing that you have to keep in mind is to choose the varieties that would best represent your emotions, and have them arrange according to your preference. Despite the profusion of flower varieties today, two of the most notable flowers that uphold special meanings are the stargazer lily and gerbera.
On the other hand, the gerbera daisy is considered a tender perennial flower that exemplify different colors and is closely related to the sunflower in terms of aesthetics. This cultivar was discovered by a Scottish named Robert Jameson while he was in Barberton, South Africa in 1884, but the name of the flower was derived from a German naturalist named Traugott Gerber, who named the daisy breed. Parallel to the stargazer, the gerbera is also acknowledged for its symbolism of innocence, purity and classic beauty; it also comes to include the meaning of cheerfulness, which could be credited to its wide color selection. Hence, gerbera daisies emerged as one of the most favorite flowers to express congratulations and appreciation to name a few.
Due to the popularity of flowers along with their timeless beauty, many people are using them to earn income through an online flower shop that cater to all kinds of events. But, in order to make it easier for customers, many flower shops are now going online that enable prospective clients to post their orders without the need to visit their local flower shop, and have them delivered to the person to whom they intend to give the flowers. All you have to do is to visit their websites, select the flower or combination of flowers you like including the arrangement, and set the day when you would like the flowers to be delivered. With this option, it would be easier for you to give your friend a gerbera daisy bouquet when he or she is sad, or a stargazer bouquet to offer to your church.
